How to Audition

Interested in singing? 

The PCS is looking for experienced choral singers with good sight-reading ability and a good working knowledge of English (the language of rehearsals).  As an "unpaid but professional-level choir" (New York Times), members are expected to take their participation seriously, namely to attend all rehearsals, to work on the music on their own (supporting materials will be provided), to participate in each of our three season concerts and the Sing-along Messiah fundraiser, and to participate in all aspects of promotion and production of our concerts.

If this sounds like you, please contact us in late August/early September to set up an appointment at our next friendly audition, which will take place in the first two weeks of September. Auditions, rehearsals and performances are at the American Cathedral in Paris, 23 avenue George V in the 8th arrondissement.  Dues for the 2012-2013 are 210 euros (105 euros for students).  Rehearsals are Monday nights, from 7.30 to 10 pm, with a refreshment break for socialising.
